Five Minute Friday — Keep
“He will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him.” Isaiah 26:3
What would it be like to be kept in perfect peace?
No fretting about money, kids, relationships, health, jobs, time management . . .
Wow. What would that be like to be at peace all.the.time?
Not comfort, or ease, or convenience. But peace. Peace to live within your circumstances with an attitude of holy fear and humility and contentment. Knowing that your joy comes from obeying God’s commands and living the life He has set before you. Perfect peace.
He will keep you in perfect peace . . . How?
And this is another one of those co-laboring with God verses.
He will keep you in perfect peace; however, you have a part to play too.
He will keep you in perfect peace . . . when you keep your mind on Him.
Perfect peace comes when you keep your mind on Him. That’s it.
He keeps when you keep.
Keep your mind on Him and peace comes. The peace He gives you, the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that’s not the world’s peace.
And it can be yours!
So today, as you find your mind slipping into fear, anxiety, discontentment, turn your mind to Jesus. Fix your eyes on Him — and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
Peace to you today from the One who keeps you in His perfect peace as you keep your mind on the Prince of Peace.
